Photography and photographic art have always held a great fascination for me. Over time, I also developed an interest in writing. However, as I didn't want to go down the traditional publishing route, I decided to become a self-publisher. As I have a strong preference for digital design, experimentation and web design, it made sense for me to design and produce books myself in the form of e-books. The aforementioned o-book¹ represents my own development in a way, as I have never seen this form of book publication in any other context before.
The website is managed independently, continuously expanded and optimized. This "everything from a single source" business model, contributes to a relaxed working atmosphere and allows for appropriate timing. But let's stay on the subject of the website: Free short stories, travel reports, photos, videos and much more await you here.
The e-books are marketed by a specialized service provider. In contrast, 'J.W. Art my way' handles the sale of o-books¹ and extended o-books¹ directly and exclusively. The online versions of the e-books are more attractively priced as they are not subject to fixed book prices. The extended o-books, on the other hand, are not available as e-books and are offered exclusively in the form of online versions.

Our bookstore offers all our e-books in the form of o-books on the one hand, while extended o-books are also available on the other. But what exactly are o-books and extended o-books?¹ Within our store, we only offer o-books, which are cheaper on the one hand and offer the possibility of being expanded with additional information about the book on the other. Even a continuation of the content is possible. Extended o-books are characterized by additions and improvements from the ground up and are continuously updated and provided with the latest information.
The normal O-Books with the addition "Update" are provided with various gimmicks (like every O-Book) and entire sequels (like the book "Trampoline …"). O-books with or without "Update" are significantly cheaper than the actual e-books and offer more content at an exclusive price.

O-books
An online book is not really a book, but "only" a text. The e-book is already available in stores (title protection), these online versions are reserved exclusively for books that are not very extensive and are sold as an online version at a lower price. Advantage: It can be read in several languages. The most common browsers have a translation function and you can also have the text read aloud. So why buy an e-book or a real book? It's cheaper, an online text is not subject to fixed book prices, as I can simply make a text of which I am the author (self-publisher) available as an online text. "Umwege ..." is the only German-language book (original German text) that is published exclusively in German, all the others are available in English (some also in German and French). The advantage of the English language is that it is easier to translate. Even if the current translators of the standard browsers are not 100% accurate, English is translated much more accurately than the German version, for example. Especially when it comes to Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, etc.
Each O-Book has little gimmicks at the end, such as photos, information about the background, the book idea, further information or even a continuation of the story.
Extended o-book
The planned major travel guides are available as an extended o-book, these extended versions receive updates and are therefore always up-to-date and equipped with the latest and most useful links. These extended o-book versions are not published as an e-book or paper book and are therefore only available online in our bookstore. You have a one-off price, can return to it again and again and we are always available to answer any questions you may have.
These extended versions are only available in English, but like the normal O-Books they are also multilingual (see O-Book / Important note).
Important note
The texts in the O-Book are automatically adapted to the language set on the laptop or cell phone or can be set if your device has this option. The quality of the translation depends on the translation program that your device uses.
